It is the Fight, It is the Pain
It is the Journey, sans the Gain
The deafening Silence of memories that resound
The momentary Pause, that evokes emotions profound
The sweat beads of effort that refuse to dry
The tears that you swallow and refuse to cry
The smile you smile to keep the child (in you) Alive
The thrust it takes for the Spirit to thrive
The scars within that you proudly wear
Yet, the stomach, the resolve and the gumption to dare
The dreams, winds of Destiny blew to Neverland
The Courage with which you build new ones, with your own hand
Darkness trusts You - as a Beacon of Hope
Vulnerability seeks You - as a pillar of Strength
That is Your Life, That is the essence
That is the Story of Your Resilience
